📌 This article answers the following questions:

- How do I synchronise my elloha calendar with a partner site using iCalendar?

- How do I get the iCal link for my elloha calendar?

- Which sites support iCal synchronisation (Airbnb, Booking, HomeAway, etc.)?

- What is the difference between iCal synchronisation and XML synchronisation?

Why is this important?

Manually managing multiple calendars is a source of stress and errors. By enabling iCalendar export, you allow your elloha account to share your booking availability with your other partner sites. This ensures that your availability is displayed up to date across all your listings, without any extra effort.

Follow the step-by-step guide

Step 1: Access your sales channels

To set up your synchronisation, follow these steps:

  • In the left-hand menu, click on Sales Channels.

  • Locate the iCalendar channel in the list.

  • Enable the channel, then click the Configure button to access the settings.

Step 2: Generate your iCalendar links

To synchronise your schedule with external calendars, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your account’s configuration interface.

  2. Select the options to export your unavailability dates.

elloha automatically generates unique iCalendar links. These links correspond to your schedule and allow you to share your unavailability dates with your other booking platforms.

⚠️ Please note: iCalendar synchronisation is a one-way process. elloha sends your availability to the external site, but bookings made on that site will not automatically appear in your elloha calendar. You will need to enter them manually to block those dates.

Step 3: Embed the links on the external platform

Once your iCalendar links have been generated in elloha, follow these steps to complete the synchronisation:

  1. Copy the relevant iCalendar link from elloha.

  2. Log in to the relevant external platform (Airbnb, Booking.com, Abritel, etc.).

  3. Paste this link into the section dedicated to calendar import or synchronisation.

💡 Tip: As each platform has its own specific interface, feel free to consult their technical documentation or contact their support team to locate the exact synchronisation section.

Step 4: Check the synchronisation

Once the links have been set up, elloha automatically sends your unavailability periods to the external platform.

  1. Log in to your account on the external platform.

  2. Check that the dates marked as unavailable on your elloha schedule appear correctly on your external calendar.

💡 Tip: To make sure everything is working, do check how it looks on the partner site a few minutes after integration.

Key points

  • Time-saving: No need to log in to each site to block off your dates.

  • Increased visibility: Be present on local sites whilst retaining control.

  • Caution: Remember to manually enter any bookings from an iCalendar channel into elloha to avoid double bookings.
