📌 This article answers the following questions:
- How do I set up VAT on my offers and options in elloha?
- What VAT rate should I apply to my accommodation?
- How do I apply a tax to all my offers at the same time?
- Are the prices entered in elloha exclusive of VAT or inclusive of VAT?
Why is this important?
By linking your taxes directly to your offers and products, you save valuable time and avoid manual input errors. This ensures your guests receive a clear invoice, and gives you the assurance of having accurate sales reports at the click of a button.
What your customers will see
The taxes you’ve set up are automatically applied to your offers and visible to your customers at the time of booking. They also appear on your vouchers and invoices, ensuring clear and compliant management.
Follow the step-by-step guide
Step 1: Access fees and taxes
This section allows you to configure all the taxes and additional charges applied to your accommodation:
In the menu on the left-hand side of your screen, click on Pricing.
Then select the Fees & Taxes tab.
Step 2: Set your taxes
Set up the tax rates applicable to your various services:
Your offers: to set the tax rate for your accommodation.
Your options: to manage the tax rates for your additional services (breakfast, equipment hire, etc.).
Your Shop products: to apply a specific tax to items sold
💡 Tip: Use the quick-action buttons to apply a tax rate to all your offers or options at once, without having to set them up individually.
This distinction allows you to apply different VAT rates depending on the nature of the service sold to your customers.
📌 Good to know: If no tax is set up, the prices displayed remain as they are and no VAT will be automatically applied to your bookings.
Step 3: Select your VAT rate
Select the VAT rate that applies to your situation from the pre-set options so that it is automatically applied to your prices:
2.1%
5.5%
10%
20
❗️ Important: The choice of VAT rate depends on the nature of your business. If in doubt, we recommend that you consult your accountant to confirm the rate applicable to your services.
📌 Good to know: The prices shown in your offers and options are inclusive of VAT.
For example, an overnight stay listed at €100 corresponds to €100 inclusive of VAT (e.g. €20 VAT at a rate of 20%).
